Bill Bestermann, MD

William H. Bestermann Jr. MD was born in Brooklyn NY and grew up in Myrtle Beach SC, attending the public schools there. He did his undergraduate work at Furman University and attended Wake Forest Medical School. Dr. Bestermann went on to internship and residency training at Portsmouth Naval Hospital and completed 7 years of naval service before beginning private practice in Beaufort SC as the first full-time internist. He became president of the SC Affiliate of the American Heart Association in 1993 and was the test practice for the Hypertension Initiative of SC. He began to practice vascular medicine in 1998 and currently serves as president of the Cardiovascular Center of Excellence program under the auspices of the Consortium of Southeast Hypertension Control. He is currently practicing at Holston Medical Group in Kingsport, Tennessee where he is medical director of the Vascular Medicine Center. -
Maggi Cary, MD, MBA, MPH
Dr. Maggi Cary is Director of the Washington, DC office of the Institute for Medical Leadership. She has been chief medical officer of the Colorado Business Group on Health, vice president of a medical device startup, chief medical officer of a $200 million organization.

Dov Michaeli, MD, PhD is an internist and a biotechnology researcher. Formerly, he was responsible for teaching biochemistry to budding doctors at the University of California in San Francisco. Patricia Salber, MD, MBA

Patricia Salber, MD, MBA is a board certified internist with training in endocrinology. She is an expert on the topic of obesity and its relationship to medical conditions, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease. Her passion is helping people prevent, reverse, or lessen the effects of these problems through diet and exercise.
